Aqrabe is a nation where Magic is a normal part of life. It is also a country on the border of the Magical Continent of The Continent of Stabatia which is the only area on Exflora where native Magic is found. As such it has contact with the non-magical world through trade and political interactions however there are strict restrictions on sharing the magic with non-magic nations.

For centuries, the River Coo has been the lifeblood of what is today known as Lower Aqrabe. The Capital Royaisia is situated on this river. Several empires have grown up along this great river valley however Aqrabe grew up after centuries of chaos after the collapse of the last magical kingdom in the area.

History

The Fertile Valley of Coo has always been heavily populated, seeing many great war victories and defeats. it was from these farmers of the Coo Valley that we find the legend of the Eternal Empire begins. The legend states that the Imperial Staff of the Ancient Gladial Dynasty promises eternal life for anyone in command of it. It was believed that when the Empite was invaded the staff was lost and broken up into 3 pieces and scattered throughout the old empire for its own protection. It was then lost to time.
The staff was lost and almost forgotten for many hundreds of years until it was discovered by the high priestess of a valley town who had spent many years researching and looking for the three parts. Since then she has held all the power eternal life has given as well as all the hell of never resting.
The restoration of the staff started her eternal life and solidified the community behind her stewardship. Over time she has developed a willingness to serve her community but with her Magic skills learnt over centuries of life, there is power behind her governance. Legend has it that she has been alive for now almost 5,000 true years.

The country is made up of two main ethnic groups. The Rachutt who occupy the lowland coastal parts of the nation and the Insan who occupy the high pasters on the north of the nation.
