Excelora

This is the continent of Excelora, in the Common Year 1237, otherwise known as the 95th Year of the High Dawn Era, following a continent-wide great power conflict between the Exceloran Alliance and the great Orcish hordes of Hralia. Our setting begins in the Northwestern kingdom of Alba, home to the humans known as Albans. These people are led by their kind Aethelstan Albertson Duvall, known by his people as "The Half-Breed". He is a half-elf who is the grandson of the King of the High Elves, and helped lead the Alliance to victory over the Orcs during the 2nd Great Anarchy (the era before the High Dawn Era).

Alba is relatively peaceful, and enjoys friendly relations with a majority of the other nations, but especially the Goblin kingdom of Reikolohk, who is at war with the human Kingdom of Canaria. Our story begins in the Duchy of Marlbrow, where the aging Duke of Marlbrow, Malcolm Isaacson Marlbrow, is set to pass the throne onto his elder son, the Count of Cassville, Aaron Malcolmson Marlbrow. You, dear players, will be members of this family, whether through blood or loyalty. Yet beware, for there is more afoot in the duchy... nay, the Kingdom itself, than bandits and brigands. Whispers of plots akin to the days of yore lay in wait for those who seek to seize power for themselves. The future will be shaped by you heroes.
