Primal Tongue is the first language. There are only a handful of creatures capable of speaking Primal Tongue, such as the deities, dragons, fey, and elementals. Mortals can not retain this language for long periods of time; thus must be granted the ability through sub-languages only.
Sub-Language
True Tongue
True Tongue is an old speech created by the dragons for the use of magic. This tongue changes Primal to constrict it's power into single-words meaning a specific thing. Repeating elements are apart of this language, which is the reason for it being the langauge taught to mortals for magic-casting.
Infernal & Celestial
Infernal and Celestial are sub-languages of Primal Tongue, however, it does not give objects a single word. Ex: True Tongue: [name] Mother , Infer/Cele: Lifegiver of [name] . The term 'Lifegiver' can be used for an individual capable of creating, resurrection, healing, or giving birth. Separate, new languages direct decedent of Primal Tongue and capable of Mortal influence over magic.
Elemental & Fey
These are not sub-languages, rather pieces of Primal Tongue combined with other words. These languages can harness magic with both Primal Tongue and language-specific words. Second to most difficult language to learn with almost every word having a unique sound.
