The Gates Close (noise of gates closing)
Describe other side of gates, they see guards on the top of the wall. This side of the wall is Heavily damaged on the service with arrows and a few heavy impact marks all the way up the wall. To the south as the road continues you see the Valley you will traverse flanked by the converging Cyrios mountains to the west and the Ashkeeper peaks to the east.
This area is more rocky with a reddish color and lacks vegetation.
You also see a longer line of caravans and travelers on this side attempting to get into the empire. There are more guards inspecting these travelers to get back in. You get the sense coming into the Empire is harder due to the War.

Last we left off the group passing through the Wuyun gate and finally leaving the boundaries of the Empire, continued to head south along the amber road through the wuyun gorge. with the exception of one small encounter with a couple Harpies the week of travel was uneventful up until they got to Nicodranas and the expanse of the Lucidian ocean. That night finding themselves at the Withered Bird Inn located in The Open Quay district of the city. Ellette lead the group to a contact who worked at the Salty Mast in the Restless Wharf, an establishment of more primal urges. Tara a red headed woman with whom Ellette knew, managed to hear things as her clients are more apt to open up with information more often than you might think. While Tara was waiting on that information. Ellette did some personal searching with some info form Tara about a man name Darwin managed to make contact with him and allowed him to recant some stories of his time on the sea. After the conversation Darwin left and Ellette noticed her coin purse gone and then gave chase and caught him and he not looking for a fight gave the coin back, to which Ellette relieved him of his clothing and items. During this time Djinn went off on her own to get a feel of anything she could discover. The following day Tara came with information about Lord Baskin who is due to attend the Marquis ball in a week. It was unclear where Baskin is currently. When asked how they might get in Tara did say she had someone who had some invitations to the Ball, enough given to captains, sailors, merchants to mingle with the Nobility, After discovering the person who has this is Darwin the person Ellette had encountered and that a favor could be done to procure these invitations Tara set up a meeting that night. The group started hatching a plan on how they are dealing with the situation of Lord Bhaskin being in a ball at the Marquis residence. And that is where we pick up.
