Reign of the Chroma Conclave

A powerful group of five ancient dragons conquered much of Tal'dorei, fracturing its peoples and giving rise to powerful factions that would prevent any unity against the wyrms. They dragons were eventually overcome by a combined force of adventurers, ashari, elves, humans, and dwarves

The dragon Brimscythe in the guise of a general of Tal'dorei named Kreig plotted the conquest, he secretly set to work seeding agents within the Alabaster Lyceum to prevent organized arcane intervention, sat key figures in key military posts such as the traitorous general Daxio, and moved wealth and funds of the Empire around so that it could be more easily conquered.   He met with Thordak the Cinder King (Red), Raishan the Diseased Deceiver (Green), Vorhugal the Frigid Doom (white), and Umbrasyl the Hope Devourer (black). They carved up the kingdom and plotted, waiting, their plans only being interrupted by the untimely death of Brimscythe at the hands of Vox Machina. Once Thordak was sure that the overall plan had not been discovered, he gave signal to his minions and his allies, and they struck.   The Chroma Conclave invaded Emon, destroying most of the city. The city was subsequently occupied by Thordak, who claimed the surrounding Bladeshimmer Shoreline as his domain and he took the Cloudtop District in Emon as his lair.   Umbrasyl claimed Westruun and the Dividing Plains. Raishan claimed the city-states of the Rifenmist Peninsula. Vorugal was originally supposed to claim Whitestone and the Alabaster Sierras, but instead he made his lair among the ruins of Draconia (likely because there was more plentiful game to hunt).   After many months under this oppression, the people were freed when Vox Machina used their powerful Vestiges of the Divergence War to destroy Thordak after killing the other dragons. Raishan fled but was pursued and also slain. It has taken many years to rebuild, and cost the life of the beloved Sovereign Uriel Tal'dorei, but his wife Salda rebuilt in his stead and now reigns as beloved queen and sovereign.
