Zhunn, an Echo Knight of the Kryn Dynasty, was sent to Tal'Dorei as part of an exploratory mission that brought a small handful of operatives across the ocean. They're directive was to make landfall, then go their separate ways in search of any information they can gather about the continent & its people. The Kryn Dynasty may be isolationist, but they maintain their somewhat precarious position in the world by knowing as much as they can about all of their neighbors, near & far. Because they would be so far from Xhorhas, soldiers from Asarius, the City of Beasts, were selected for this particular mission, hoping that despite their monstrous nature, they would fair better than the Drow. It is largely considered to be a one-way suicide mission, directed to send back any pertinent information by any means available. (Israeli Mossad inspired) He had to spend several months training in foreign languages & how to write cyphers before leaving for Tal'Dorei.
Before this mission, Zhunn has done multiple tours of duty in frontier locations that have higher than usual amounts of monster activity. He has personal stories of fighting a good number of creatures and knows general lore & traditional methods for fighting many more besides. With that knowledge, he has become a walking armory of "monster hunter" items, ie silvered weapons & ammunition, garlic, crucifixes, salt, etc. Some of his techniques work & some are just old wives' tales, but he uses them all whenever appropriate, "just in case!"

Exiled after fleeing from a battle with the Empire, he had to leave his fiancee behind who he writes 'love letters' to (coded cyphers to informant in Xhorhas).

Born in Asarius, he underwent anemnesis as a teenager, merging his one previous life's memories with this one's. Shortly thereafter he joined the Echo Knights, seeking to further his glory & bring honor to his soul's essence. He has served with distinction wherever he has been stationed, regularly changing posts over the years, never complaining. He was always happy to move on to a new location, bringing with it new dangers to conquer.

  • Has seen dozens, if not hundreds, of his allies fall in combat. Suffers from mild PTSD which is exacerbated by his fear of death so far from home. Seeing an ally go unconscious has a chance to make him seek the nearest cover from the source of whatever felled them. (Self-preservation instincts kicking in)
