One of the Eladrin, a rare & ancient subrace of Elves that is native to the twilight realm of the Feywild, Irafis views himself as a 'true' elf, one of the few that has never strayed from their origins. He's a relatively new member of the Shanta Gisirs ("Tree Guardians"), war mages devoted to guiding & defending their cities deep within the Feywild, considered by some to be the most powerful wizards in any plane. The city where he resides briefly crossed over into the Material Plane, a chaotic phenomenon that doesn't often happen, leaving him behind when it returned to the Feywild. Now trapped alone on the Material Plane & not yet strong enough to return on his own, Irafis finds himself reeling in a foreign landscape.

• Utter lack of morality about use of arcane powers. He can, therefore he does. If it is possible, then those with the talent to do so are free to exercise their will as they see fit. (Extremely early onset case of late stage Wizard mentality) He will live far longer & become far, FAR more powerful than nearly any other mortal, so why fret about the 'little things' even at a young age?
• The ends 'almost' always justify the means (pretty much always), sacrifices have to be made to achieve truly great feats.
• The Eladrin are so clearly superior to other races that they can do as they please. The laws & customs of other races are inconsequential, and frankly a little fun to make a mockery of. (High Elves & Wood Elves are still inferior, but culturally close enough to be exempt from open mockery)
• Chaos is the spice of life, people with sticks up their asses about law & order clearly enjoy bland food, that's all.
