ESVI Convention

Ever since St. Thohtenhour came into power, the Lowvires have had a way of denoting wether or not a child of a Lowvire is a pureblooded royal, or an individual of tainted blood.   This desire led to the implementation of the ESVI Convention in 7AD.   The ESVI convention declares that the Sons and Daughters of the emperor at the time are to be labeled with an 'es' between their given name and family name. This alteration denotes the child's superiority and potential rulership, allowing them a right to the throne and the title of Prince or Princess.   The 'vi' measure is given to the spouses of the royal family. Any man or woman to marry into the royal family is granted the 'vi' tutilage. While to some it is an honour to marry into the family, to others it is humiliating to be defined as 'inadequate for the throne'.

Components and tools

The ES Convention is incurred during the naming ceremonies after a child of the Emperor is born. The VI Convention is incurred during a royal wedding ceremony, during the vows. The individuals are required to refer to themselves in their vow, and are then declared similarly by the presiding clergyman.
