The Moons Fifteen
Inges, the Plane of Fire, home of Fortissimus the Summer God
Appearance: Big ring of fire. From Uro, it looks like a cosmic loop that occasionally overlaps other planes. This is representative of Fortissimus being chief among gods.
Full: There is no night. This lasts one day. Empty lanterns blaze during this time.
New: Lions do not roar.
Waxing: Lions roar louder, fire burns smokeless.
Waning: Day is shorter, embers burn longer.
Mysterium, the Astral Plane, home of Eldreon, the Magic God
Appearance: Spectral orb that shimmers with purplish, silver light.
Full: Fire burns purple. Magic users give off a strange aura. Sorcerers come into their powers during the full Mysterium.
New: Owls do not hide. In darkness, the Worldspyre itself glows bright as a distant beacon.
Waxing: Faded writing slowly repairs itself
Waning: Worshippers of Eldreon are easily identifiable by a strange runemark that appears on their left palm.
Revelor, Home of Lyrica, the Love God
Appearance: Watery pink sphere
Full: Fire burns gold. Wolves become non-aggressive. The wind carries faint singing on it.
New: The wayshrines attract wild creatures.
Waxing: Young people are more likely to find love
Waning: A random musical performance is more beautiful and well-loved than anything before.
Pandemonium, The Abyss, home of The Dreaded One, the Doombringer God
Appearance: A blackened rock with a flaming phoenix burning across it. Non-symmetrical.
Full: Fire burns black. People are faster to anger. Fires are harder to put out. Phoenixes explode.
New: Coals are cold, no matter how recent the fire.
Waxing: Bull horns grow small spikes
Waning: Old scars caused by fire ache.
Resplendus, Nirvana, home of The Seasonal, the Time God
Appearance: Empty glass ball. It reflects the light of the other planes.
Full: Fire burns yellow. Trees change seasons randomly- it might be dead start of spring and your leaves start falling. Snow
might show up on evergreens in summer. New green shoots in winter, etc.
New: Timepieces do not work. The next day, they function as if nothing had ever happened.
Waxing: Oak trees can be heard whispering in a forgotten tongue on still nights.
Waning: Worshippers of The Seasonal experience strange visions when meditating.
Solarus Majora, Heaven, home of The Guardian, the Family God
Appearance: A bright, warm moon that has especially visible rays of light.
Full: Fire burns silver. Bonfires cannot be put out, but they will not cause destruction. There are no nightmares.
New: Pain caused by a loss feels especially awful.
Waxing: Babies born during this time smile more often. The elderly experience less pain.
Waning: Followers of the Guardian are able to recognize each other by sight. Weird influx in the number of puppies.
Novacus, the Shadow Plane, home of Attinae, the Pain God
Appearance: A spot in the sky devoid of literally everything. It is the darkness.
Full: Fire becomes spectral. A pale and ghostly flame. People constantly feel like they are being watched. Those who are by themselves might think they see things hidden in the shadows.
New: Shadows move with a small amount of lag. Food spoils slightly faster.
Waxing: Worms rise from the earth in massive numbers as though rain had just fallen, especially where someone has died before. Pain lasts a little bit longer.
Waning: Bad luck. People are more likely to hit their head on doorways and spill their beer specifically.
Koranos, Hell, home of Ku’Qala, the Lawbringer God
Appearance: A red, rugged moon.
Full: Fire burns red. Candles light up by themselves. All at once. People are more easily tempted.
New: Tattoos darken. Those in servitude to another feel momentary dread.
Waxing: Shackles feel heavier and leave marks. Sometimes, chains rattle on their own.
Waning: Ku’Qala worshippers see flames in mirrors. They see the consequences of their worship. And they don’t care.
Sylveum, the Plane of Air, home of Dracorex, the Storm God
Appearance: Scaled, like a big blue dragon’s egg that crackles with electricity on occasion. Still an orb, but slightly misshapen.
Full: Fire crackles and spits as lightning, with a sea-green coloration. There is always a storm. Roars of all dragonkind can be heard five times further away.
New: Thunder is softer. Wind is mildly painful, and it is windy. Those who have angered Dracorex grow itching scales on their hands that go away later.
Waxing: Draconic sorcerers, half-dragons, and true dragons are marked with a lightning bolt tattoo under the right eye. Fire burns hotter, and lightning strikes near Dracorex temples.
Waning: Sailing is slightly less dangerous. Fishing yields better results. Dragon-blooded folks as described above have good dreams of power.
Verdantum, the First World, home of Lelia, the Nature God
Appearance: While still a moon, obviously coated in plants. Very naturally green, odd textures. Can see one of it’s rivers from material plane.
Full: Fire is a dark, forest green. It sounds like crickets. Flowers bloom in full regardless of time of year. This effect continues as normal- so in the winter, the flowers show up but then just die.
New: Plants stop growing. Embereki feel their teeth sharpen. Wild animals grow more afraid of people.
Waxing: Any artwork depicting a pine tree hums a wordless tune and anyone who hears it feels happy for months. Lelia whispers advice through real trees, but only to those who know how to listen.
Waning: Unicorn sightings are more common. Weeds grow faster. Water ripples by itself.
Argonen, Abaddon, home of Vadaszat, the Hunting God
Appearance: A murky green moon. It’s covered in dark, dense forests, jungles and swamps. The moon flashes a bright red randomly.
Full: Fire burns bone white with streaks of red. Logs sometimes scream when thrown onto a fire. Thick fog starts rolling in everywhere, and werebeasts transform against their will.
New: Predators become less active. Embereki become more docile. Corpses stop smelling.
Waxing: Deer skulls start appearing in odd places. Hunters find that any wild game they hunt is particularly fat.
Waning: The next target of the Red Hunt can only be born on this day. His favored followers receive an arrow made of bone. His followers all get goat eyes.
Geminus Predicae, the Negative Energy Plane, home of Nex Szar, the Death God
Appearance: A dull grey moon covered in strange marks and patterns. Looking at it through a telescope reveals that the patterns are the ruins of a planetwide city.
Full: Fire burns a dull grey that is strangely comforting. Ghosts become visible. The sound of a church choir can be heard when near graves.
New: The dying become unsettled or depressed. Ravens flock around places of Nex worship.
Waxing: For one hour, the dead city on Geminus Predicae lights up as though people still lived there. Nex Szar himself visits the lonely dying.
Waning: Ghosts gather near holy places. Worshippers of Nex Szar radiate an aura of comfort and peace. To the elderly, small pleasures are slightly better.
Titanus, the Plane of Water, home of Rhyddid, the Winter God
Appearance: A perfect orb of clearish ice with dancing lights inside of it.
Full: Fire burns an icy blue. The dancing lights appear in the sky. There is no day.
New: Lost travellers often find their way back, telling stories of a ghost woman with a lantern.
Waxing: It snows regardless of season. A pleasant, beautiful snow. Chains and bindings feel less uncomfortable.
Waning: Favored servants of Rhyddid have the aurora in their eyes. Fairy sightings are more common. Drinks feel a crisp cold.
Torvale, the Ever-Changing Plane, home of Randeus, the Warrior God
Appearance: Like somebody melted a bunch of swords together. A spherical Iron Throne.
Full: Fire appears solid and is a metallic grey. Swords ring especially loudly when drawn unless the bearer is trying to be quiet.
New: Iron rusts more easily. Followers of The Warpath of the Righteous experience a fading of tattoos, ritual scars, anything honoring the Gladiator God, but only for the one night.
Waxing: Horses become more brave. The treasures of long-forgotten battlefields are more easily found. Warriors feel especially proud.
Waning: Randeus will show up to watch gladiator bouts, or fist fights, basically whatever fight going on that day he finds the most interesting. People get drunk faster. Children born this day are especially likely to become soldiers. Veterans dream of great victories.
Tertantus, the Plane of Earth, home of Tilanos, the Forge God
Appearance: A ball made of golden rings full of fire. The rings constantly move around themselves, and the fires flare once an hour.
Full: Fire burns with an intense orange light. Forges burn throughout the night. Craftsmen produce works of remarkable quality, and honest laborers do not feel as tired after a hard day’s work.
New: Working accidents are more likely to happen. Jewelry made by worshippers of Tilanos has a little less luster. Iron is more difficult to mine, to melt, to smith.
Waxing: Worshippers of Tilanos have bright orange irises. Artisans, craftsmen, and laborers dream of wonders. The sound of striking iron is more rhythmic. Worked metals seem to glow a little.
Waning: Rams grow aggressive. The horns of wild animals grow slightly. Water sometimes turns to ale, and ale sometimes turns to something stronger. Food tastes better. On very rare occasions, broken things might have small repairs happen.
