The Lute of Screeching Songs

This lute is enchanted to put all those that hear it save the musician into a deep frenzy that is nearly uncontrollable. The Lute of Screeching Songs was most frequently used outside of enemy encampments to cause the soldiers within to tear each other to shreds. One of the Artifacts of Skaldor, it was crafted initially by the Azata Caerel, who was sentenced to imprisonment within the Ninth Circle of Hell for creating something so hateful and ugly. As with all the Artifacts, it is presumed lost, though tales pop up time and time again of barroom brawls that end in the deaths of all within it.
