The Blue Sky Way

The Blue Sky Way is the practice of venerating one's ancestors as minor deities manifesting themselves as nature spirits. Practitioners burn incense to appease the ancestors, pray for guidance, and interpret answers in the clouds, stars, and wind. The Skaldoran practice of burning the dead originates with the Blue Sky belief that a material body must be destroyed in order for the spirit to take it's rightful place in the sky. There are no true priests of the Blue Sky, instead holy men and women are wandering monks who teach practitioners to better appease the ancestors and interpret spirit signs.
