Kazha Khan

The Legend of Kazha Khan

Previously known as the Bride of War, Kazha Khan is the spirit of all battle. Legend holds that as a mortal, she led one of the largest Hordes that had ever been in a now-forgotten prophecy. Battle by battle, Kazha Khan took the other hordes under her banner through conquest, set to become Khan of Khans and force the second ending of all things. She took a dozen wives and as many husbands, had a hundred children of war, and travelled with a thousand invaluable treasures, all claimed in rightful conquest. Accounts differ on precisely what killed Kazha Khan, but all agree that she perished in honorable battle. Among the Gemaites, it is said that Kazha Khan stood her ground against the biggest dragon to ever be. The elves of Sun and Moon claim that she gave her mortality calming a rampaging spirit.

The Spirit Kazha Khan

Many warriors across all nations pay tribute to Kazha Khan with offerings of blood or treasure put into the fire. While most Gemaites do not hold with the Wheel of Heaven per se, they do respect the kami and Kazha Khan above all others, offering her tribute through the death of their enemies. Unlike many of the higher kami, Kazha Khan likes to wander around Fujiyama in search of warriors worthy of challenge. Many samurai of the Blades have met their ends by challenging her, and some have even earned her favor by landing a blow (a feat far fewer mundane warriors have accomplished). Few whole communities claim her as guardian kami, as that would be inviting war to their lands, but lesser kami associated with her frequently take the form of household spirits of powerful warriors. The lowest kami in her service are the spirits of specific weapons. Those who swear their lives to Kazha Khan usually become ronin who wander as their mistress does in search of a fight worthy of their sword arm.    On Illiria, Kazha Khan takes the form of Randeus,  the god of war.
