Jerlooms: Trolls and Tribulations

General Summary

Having arrived in the Republic of Kuasta, the party spent a little time in the outpost of Littleton to gather some information on the area. They learned that the biggest bustling spots were the capital of Coppershore and the mysterious Brightlake, which is one bright lake. Also, some creep with a staff passed through recently. Carrying on, they got to the town of Kiverdale, which was suffering from a seasonal hyena infestation. They secured an audience with the local ruler, Don Niccolo de Calco. He confirmed the hyena problem, and upon a little request did agree to pay a bounty for the hides of the beasts. Also, Chuffy was disguised as a human boy named Chuff... something. In this manner, Chuffy learned that Kuastan children love mystery reptile eggs and that they are a hot commodity here. Also, the necromancer was here, a prisoner for a few hours before escaping.
So naturally they set off in search of money. They did battle with hyenas all day, collecting a hundred pelts, before discovering that the last pack had been eating a troll. Against all odds, they made friends with the thing who seemed to have a knack for languages. Also, he grew a third arm. The compass went off, and they discovered that their new friend (Chuffy named him CJ) was emitting free radicals, as was a jar in his possession. The jar talks. They talked with CJ and agreed to work out a deal between him and the humans of Kiverdale. 
The jar as it turned out held a being called The Advisor, created in the year 1 by Farangenor as a gift for Emperor Skaldor. This thing is capable of recalling any piece of knowledge that was ever written down. It revealed that CJ had eaten part of it, and a good chunk of the session was spent debating the morality of taking CJ's seemingly enhanced intelligence away from him in order to make him safer, including a surprise betrayal by Chuffy who stole the jar temporarily. 
Anyway it all worked out for the best. CJ now has a job as a travelling hyena murderer, the Don doesn't have to worry about his hyena problem anymore, Chuffy has some new mystery reptile eggs, and the gang has access to all recorded knowledge. Good times!
