Giant Ant
Giant ants are, as the name implies, oversize ants. Most wild populations have been eradicated, and as such the majority of giant ants are beasts of burden in the service of the Empire. The grand majority of giant ants are about the size of a pony, and used in battle only by small riders such as kobolds. However, most hives have a force of what are called knight ants, which are about the size of a horse and can be used by human sized creatures easily. Because giant ants have a variety of roles within a hive, such as worker, drone, soldier, knight, and queen, and each of the roles grows and looks differently, there is not much information listed as to how an ant grows or what it looks like. Some settlements use ants and riders as rapid subterranean messengers. Cities with large populations of Kobolds, such as Mt. Paladium, even design roads and buildings with ants in mind.
