Dirkson, Son of Dirk

Rumor has it that Dirk, during his occupation of Macias, took several lovers, one of them a "rat". That rat bore several children, the first born being Ratulus, and the second being Ratmus, who would later change his name to Dirkson. Ratulus and Ratmus were raised and educated by the rats, learning to follow the strict communal code of conduct by which rats live. All was done for the good of the nest, and selfishness was not tolerated. A naturally born leader, Ratulus began to recruit the homeless, riff raff, and urchins from the community into the rat nest, with the help of Ratmus, who was a born negotiator and smooth talker. Soon the nest grew too large for a single city, and rat pathfinders were sent off to all the major cities of Evermore. Eventually, Ratmus' desire to live in the above world was too strong, and he split from his brother to live life away from the nest. Banished from the rats, Ratmus changed his name to Dirkson and set off to learn more about his father, Lord Dirk.
