Suddenly two black armored figures snatched the small drow boy up. The goliath darted around a corner and hid behind some crates, peering out to see one of the giant suits of armor strike down the boy. Without a word, he ran. Death was rampant here, and survival was key. Under the cover of the gloom that was night in Yeshai, the youth screamed out his anger and frustration. Somewhere in the depths, beyond the stars unseen behind the perpetual clouds that covered the sky, something moved and answered his cries. Brother Cavill Goshan, now moving through the country as an acolyte of that darkness, passes succor on the common people and defends them. His mind is filled with what he sees when communing with that old deity, and he tries to reconcile, but slowly he can feel the presence continuing to invade. Part of him revels at the contact, but he cannot share that secret. He can only seek the secrets of others, and speak those to ease the madness that threatens to overcome him.
