Laspdyel

Laspdyel is an orphaned boy from Horse-Port. After his mother death, Sir Uther took him to Newgarden abbey, and entrusted him to Brother Peter, who taught him to read and write, and Solioran's religion. When Laspdyel was 8 years old, Sir Uther took him as his squire, and trained him for sword-fighting, lance, archery and riding. In 4E 409, Sir Laspdyel become one of the Knight's of Solioran. He joined his former master, Sir Uther, and worked with him in the abbey's region. 4E 411 Sir Uther and Sir Laspdyel went to the Dark Reeds, a vast swampland filled with various undeads, to kill as many as they can. Sir Uther told him, that the source of this corruption is an ancient abbey, Stonehold, near the Barehills, so the journeid and fought they way there. When the two paladin stepped in the abandoned courtyard, a huge storm broke out, and as the sky darkened, an army of undead rose to fight them. They faced serious overpowering. Sir Uther told the young knight, to run, then released a godly firestorm. Laspdyel saw him and the undeads as they burned all. After the went out, Sir Laspyel collected his master's body, and returned to Newgarden. There, after the funeral, he learned from Brother Peter, that Sir Uther was actually Lord Uther Pendragon, his biological father, and the old knight left it in his will, that Laspdyel is his lawful son, and the heir of the lost earldom, and the fortress, Castleloch, witch was in the doomed Dark Reeds. Laspdyel decided to journey around in Vasanna, looking for allies and magic, that might can help him clear out the darkness from the Reeds, and restore his heritage.

Sir Uther Pendragon

Knight of Solioran, Lord Uther Pendragon born as a lawful son of his noble parents, Lord Gilbertus Pendragon, and Lady Victoria*. His father served as a knight in Newgarden abbey and earned the "Champion of Vasanna" title three times. Sir Gilbertus died in the Dark Reeds, fighting against the endless horde of undead. With this heritage, Uther started his training early, and he become a Knight of Solioran at age 16. He was the youngest paladin in the history of Newgarden abbey. After years of service around the abbey, his mother died in Highgarden. Sir Uther went for her funeral, and there he met some rich patrons, who supported his endeavors - restoration of the Pendragon earldom - on one condition: the 19 years old, hardened knight had to enter the royal tournament. Sir Uther stayed in the capital, won the tournament, and become the "Champion of Vasanna" six times, and a national hero. In those years, the knight made close friends with the crown prince, Amelion Marcellus. The two of them become notorious as masters of noisy and drunken antics. They party lasted from Littlemarket to Axekeep, and provided malicious gossip for the entire empire. All the fun ended with a duel: Lord Marcus Tyrannus ordered the two friend to leave Twintower at once. Sir Uther defeated the "good lord" in a duel, but then the king ordered them back to the capital, after the Countess of Twintower - Lord Tyarnnus mother - complained to the king. Prince Amelion stayed in the keep, and Sir Uther went back to Newgarden abbey. After this, the two of them usually met in different taverns only one-two times per year. In 4E 396 Sir Uther went to Horse-Port, to help because of a deadly epidemic. There he found a young boy, who looked just like him, scared but healthy. He took in the "orphan" and entrusted his teaching to Brother Peter, and later continued his training himself. Sir Uther was the proudest in Newgarden, when the abbot knighted Sir Laspdyel. In 4E 411 the two knight ventured deeply in the swampland of the Dark Reeds, looking for a ruin, Stonehold. There they found a huge mass of undead, and Sir Uther feared that Laspdyel maybe fell there, so he used a high level fire spell, to keep the monsters away from his son. He died there, the Church of Solioran held his funeral two weeks later. He's final resting place is the undercroft in the Newgarden Cathedral.

Brother Peter

Peter born as a commoner in Oldgod, a small village south of the Bird's-land, an old forest in the border region-of the Albinus shire. He's family was too big, so they sent the youngest three kids to serve Solioran. Peter was in poor health, but learnt fast, so he stayed most of his life in the abbey's interior, the Catherdral, the library and in the study. He become a priest of Solioran, and a historian. Brother Peter helped Sir Uther, researched the Pendragon family history and anything that might can help the knight restoring his heritage. Sir Uther took care of that his friend and helper always got some new books or research-material from his journeys, like an ancient scroll or a freshly printed book from the capital. (In 4E 435 opened the first book printing house in Goldabbey, the biggest Solioran abbey in Vasanna. In the first few years they printed mostly religious texts for the wealthy worshipers of Solioran.) One day a badly written letter arrived to Newgarden, for Sir Uther. Since the knight was not present, Brother Peter took the letter, and put it aside... Years later the knight brought a young boy from Horse-Port in the abbey, and asked Brother Peter to teach him. Something was a little odd with the kid: he looked way to similar to Sir Uther. Brother Peter now remembered, that there was a letter from Horse-Port, that never reached his friend. After reading the letter, Sir Uther told Brother Peter, that the young boy is likely his bastard son, and he want to do arrangements to make his state as "lawful heir". Asked his friend to teach his son well, but don't say a word about the connection. Brother Peter tried his best, but well, the kid was not the sharpest knife in that drawer. Laspdyel learned slowly, but after a few years, he read, wrote and counted at an acceptable level. Sir Uther was more lucky with the kid fighting-training: he was a real talent, just as his ancestors. After Crown Prince Amelion's death, Sir Uther moved back to Newgarden, and stayed there for long time, mourned. Brother Peter stayed beside him, but soon after, the knight got a new partner: Lady Jana Kershanna. Sir Uther then spent his time in the Littlemarket harbor or Maidenkeep, the main city of the Albinus shire. Brother Peter couldn't say goodbye his old friend, he only learned of his death after Sir Laspdyel returned to the abbey. A few months after, Brother Peter continued Sir Uther's official request, adopting Laspdyel, because his friend's original papers vanished mysteriously from the king court secretary's office. Sir Laspdyel left Newgarden. When he returned in 4E 414, Brother Peter sat him down in the library, and told him everything about Sir Uther and the Pendragon heritage. Brother Peter is Laspdyel's trustful friend and helps him navigating in the vasannarian bureaucracy.

Lady Jana Kershanna

Jana born in a lesser-noble family. Most of her ancestors where Solioran's servants, so it was an easy choice for her, to become a Knight of Solioran. She spent her younger years in Goldabbey. Unlike most of her peers, she was more eager to learn, than fight. She become an expert diplomat and counselor. One of her first assignment was in the Highgarden's Cathedral. She was one of the helpers of the temple's steward. In this years, she met with the Champion Sir Uther, and his friends, and, well, they hadn't like each other at all. Lady Jana thought, that Sir Uther was too loud and proud, and the man thought that Lady Jana was way too harsh to him, and dry, and more like a public servant, than a knight. A few years later, Lady Jana become the right-hand of the Newgarden abbey's steward. By the time Sir Uther returned to the abbey, Lady Jana already served in Maidenkeep, as a consuelor of Count Albinus. The two met again, after Crown Prince Amelion's death. Lady Jana was the one of the few, who knew, that Laspdyel is Sir Uther's son and heir. She begged to her then lover, that don't go to the Dark Reeds, but Sir Uther went anyway. Afeter his death, Lady Jana stayed in Maidenkeep, but always keep her doors open for Laspdyel, whom she regarded as her stepson.
