Summer Camp 2024 Reading Challenge
I wish luck everybody!
After finishing my Summer Camp articles, I was exhausted. I needed a long vacation from writing (and even translating). Slowly I came back, and we just finished a 1,5 year long campaign, ready to start a new one. I like to gather new ideas for the next long campaign, so I chose a specific theme (A myth or prophecy about the end of the world) for the reading challenge.
I opened 37 articles but will only comment on the ones I liked, besides the 14 others I didn't comment, on because I'm still exhausted and can't do all.
So nice! Well connected to the history and the people of the world. Not just a prophecy, but how to avoid the world's end. The linked articles helped me to understand more about the world. Nice layout and easy-to-follow design.
The design of this article was so unique - at least for me - with the dark background and the beautiful colors of the images and text boxes. The content was easy to follow even for the first reading, without much more knowledge about the world. It was a creation and a world's end myth. I dare not make a universe of this size, but I wish luck to the creator.
This one is more like an outline of a finished article, but the Summer Camp challenge time is short to achieve too much polishing. I liked the artwork and the poem in it. The article's cover image is confusingly big, but I saw the other one on the world's home page so it may be an intended design element. Used the sidebar in the best way, adding more content to the writing.
Oh, this one is really short! First about the design: The huge picture on the right is somewhat too big for the content, maybe a different size or moving the last three paragraphs will balance out the space in the middle. (Also the CSS/ font size in the comment section is HUGE.) The content is easy to follow and informative, and the poem is well-written. Nice work!
Another shorter article, but hey, I love them. So much information, in digestible form, private atmosphere with the conversation between the characters. I miss some illustrations, but the world's Homepage itself is informative and simple, without many pictures, so this can be intentional.
Well, I have a sweet spot for any German articles, as half of my family comes from Germany... (I haven't used the language in like 10 years, but I still can understand what I read, that's nice.) The layout is missing the sidebar, maybe turning it off would be a solution. The content is relatively biblical, but the presentation is nice (I like the CSS of the page). A nice reminder that we don't need to every time reinvent everything.
This was a heavily illustrated article with HUGE cover image and a less utilized sidebar. Maybe the sidebar could help make this article appear shorter, so it will be more readable. The end of the world opens a new beginning, making the circle of Life eternal: great idea. I liked the content too.
Oh my, when I saw this, I internally screamed 'PERFECT'. The illustrations, the layout, the lore on the sidebar, the poem, and the opening scene, are so well-written and beautiful.
Please give an award for it.

A longer, descriptive article with a nice and dark atmosphere and artwork. The text is informative, easy to follow, and nicely done. It was an interesting read, similar to what I try to achieve in Evera.
This one is on the shorter side, but the colorful artworks balance the text well. This one also makes the ends and beginnings into a circle, which is a great tool. The images remind me of retro videogames, maybe because of the color scheme, I can't tell. It was a nice article with lots of relation to the world and its culture.
Thank you so much for your incredible praise and including me in your reading challenge. Really happy you enjoyed the end of days!
