Deep-Speech

This ancient language is older than Evera, from another world. Also known as The Old One, the expression is known as the native language of the inhabitants of the Elemental plane of Fire, but even among magic users, only a few understand it. Most humanoids never encounter it in their lifetime, scientists, archaeologists, magic users, and reckless adventurers come close to some written record of the beginning of the world or the inhabitants of the elemental plane during their travels.
The language is extremely chunky, uses many consonants, and pays close attention to different accents. At first, it looks like rocks crashing together or hot steam hissing through narrow gaps.
In writing, the Deep-Speech covers a syllabic rune cast that is even more complicated than the Dwarven language. The most extensive research so far distinguished slightly more than 1200 runes (an average outlander knows and uses 400-900 runes according to his own dialect).
Deep-Speech has little place on Evera, most churches consider it evil and destroy objects or texts decorated with such runes if possible. Only a handful of ancient entities, now exiled or dead, who came here with the gods when the world was created, used this expression to make themselves understood and to divert the humanoids created by the gods from their service. Researchers, on the other hand, try to save these finds, trusting that the ancient knowledge will lead them to decipher secrets or to some higher power. It is also known that those who studied these ancient texts for a long time almost without exception lost their sanity after a while.
