Achaian Deities

ACHAIAN DEITIES  
  1. Zeus – king of the deities; god of sky and storms
  2. Poseidon – god of the sea
  3. Hades – god of the dead
  4. Hera – goddess of marriage, family, and childbirth
  5. Demeter – goddess of agriculture and fertility
  6. Hestia – goddess of hearth and home
  7. Athena – goddess of wisdom and strategy
  8. Apollo – god of the sun, prophecies, plague, and medicine
  9. Artemis – goddess of the moon, the wilderness, the hunt, children, and maidens
  10. Hermes – god of travellers, merchants, and messengers
  11. Aphrodite – goddess of love and beauty
  12. Dionysos – god of wine and theater
  13. Hephaistos – god of the forge and crafting
  14. Ares – god of war
    N.B. An important note for both the Achaian and Vicini deities is that they tend to have numerous epithets based on locality that can radically change their nature and the way they are worshipped. Aphrodite Area is the most striking one, whereby the goddess of love and beauty also becomes the goddess of war and passion.
