Culture

While a large amount of the Swiss pursue the arts of war and combat, a lot pursue the more mundane tasks of farming ranching and skilled crafts. The Swiss respect those in these fields, for they are what makes them able to live the way they do.

History

It formed during in the early 14th century, from a nucleus in what is now Central Switzerland, expanding to include the cities of Zürich and Bern. This formed a rare union of rural and urban communes, all of which enjoyed imperial immediacy in the Holy Roman Empire.

Technological Level

Most of the higher ranked members of a Swiss clan wear adamantine armor if their fighting style allows it, taking advantage of advanced smelting and forging Technics.

Religion

Although Catholicism is the state religion clans and its members are not forced to fallow or even practice any religion.

Foreign Relations

The Swiss have started to sell their mercenary services to nations throughout Europe, most famously to the pope and the Papal States. Most clans do this as a way to earn money and prestige for its members and its self, and each of these clans specializes in the martial or arcane, as well as some divine casters.

Agriculture & Industry

The Swiss soils, terrain, and climate do not favor agriculture particularly and farms are usually family enterprises, mostly small in size. They produce cereals such as wheat and barley, root crops such as sugar beets, and fruits such as apples and grapes. Dairy products, such as cow's milk and world-renowned Swiss cheeses, make up a significant portion of the agricultural revenue. Livestock include cattle, pigs, sheep, horses, and poultry.

Education

Every citizen no matter their job is taught from a young age to fight and defend themselves.

Infrastructure

The few roads leading into the country are fortified or otherwise guarded.

Legislative Body
The Swiss elect one adult from each of the 13 clans, these men and women make up the ruling counsel, and then the counsel members elect one of themselves to lead them. Each counsel member serves for 5 years and can then be removed, and the leader of the counsel is elected every year, and neither of these positions have a term limit.
This counsel is the body that make the larger decisions for the confederation otherwise clans largely rule themselves.
Judicial Body
Any and all crimes are punished by the clan whos land you were on when to committed the crime. Other disputes that two or more clan members have are dealt with by the clan leader their word is usually taken as law.
