God of Order

The God of Order. Ruler of Axis. Taemis is the guardian of all rules and laws that govern reality and maintains order between the realms where otherwise there would be none. While Zemotl ventures out and protects the multiverse, Taemis remains behind and governs Axis in order to protect the origin of law and maintain the supply of Inevitables required for both their needs. Taemis is the leader of the Axiomites and commands almost every aspect of the city and is responsible for its efficiency and continual improvement. Not a word is spoken, not an action taken without serious consideration towards the impact it will have on Axis as a whole and he is widely consulted to solve disputes by all corners of the multiverse. His mere presence drives back the influences of the Maelstrom and were it not for the fact that he never leaves Axis he would be the ultimate weapon against the forces of chaos. Instead he leads by decree, sending out servants and emissaries where needed, and prefers to leave direct intervention to his contemporary.

Body Features

Light coloured skin with dark hair. What appears to be his clothing is in fact a part of his body and gives him the appearance of a regal and noble figure of wealth and power.

Taemis can be identified by the incredibly complex equations that make up his being, far beyond that of any regular Axiomite. He maintains one stable form unlike many of his brethren and is therefore also more easily identified as a result.

Personal history

Taemis was the elder Demigod of Tyrarr as well as one of the eldest Demigods in general, formed from the fundamental rules of reality to help manage the great city of Axis that his father had created with Haphion. Taemis instinctively understood all the natural laws that made up his form and quickly applied that knowledge to expand and improve Axis beyond what his parents originally created. His own power naturally drove back even the raw chaos of the Maelstrom and he easily succeeded in creating what would now be recognised today as the bastion of order upon which most of the multiverse is based. It was only when Taemis could not expand his influence without diluting the perfect system he had created that eventually stopped this expansion and he instead settled on continuing to improve the security of the city and expand its influence in different ways.
Taemis sought to expand the influence of Axis beyond its borders while Zemotl intended to enforce the will of her God and combat the forces of chaos that still reigned out in the multiverse. Both realised that their causes were best suited by working together and with their combined efforts they designed what would become the first Inevitables. While Zemotl would take these initial prototypes out immediately, Taemis would focus on not only directing a full third of his city's resources to producing more but also on creating new designs and improving upon them endlessly. This focus kept him out of many major developments including the creation of his younger counterparts and the formation of the Angels up until the creation of the Inner Planes. Much of the structure and stability of the Inner Planes were created based off the concepts of Axis and Taemis was heavily involved in planning, although not the actual implementation, of many of the designs and planar mechanics that still exist today.
After the creation of mortalkind Taemis retreated back to his focus on Axis, quickly incorporating the new Axiomites born from mortal souls into the processes of the city and further refining it. When the Angelic Civil War broke out, Taemis focused only on defending Axis from those who sought to turn it into a battleground and Axis would remain an unassailable fortress throughout the war even as Oros' forces tried to drag them down from their perch. He would continue his policy of non-interference up until the death of Oros which was seen as the ultimate violation of one of the most fundamental aspects of reality. Since then Taemis has been actively sending Inevitables after the Slayer, agents to gather information about her and developing a way to restore Oros or at least create a replacement to fill the void his death left in the multiverse. Such activities consume much of his attention and in the meantime his home continues to advance as he directed in his absence.

A being of pure logic and order there is nothing Taemis does without first analysing all available data and projecting the results of his actions far beyond their immediate goal. He is often seen as slow to respond despite his incredible intellect but when he does act it is with absolute certainty and nothing he does it without meaning.

Taemis is the son of Tyrarr, elder sibling to Aedos and the Angels and architect of the Inevitables. While he does work with his family from time to time he rarely interacts with them in a general sense, preferring only the company of Zemotl, Tyrarr and Haphion. The only time he usually willingly talks to his family is when he is called upon to judge or mediate a situation.

Speech

Taemis speaks with absolute certainty in his voice, never a word out of place or a meaning unintended. Most of the time he makes enquiries and will only make statements once he is sure that he has gathered enough information to make a judgement. He never goes back on his word so is very cautious in his interactions with others and this can make his interactions seem random and disjointed but with a larger order behind them.
