Demographics
The population is made up primarily of Humans, Grey Orcs, and Over-Dwarves. Some of the minorities include Tabaxi, Teiflings, Green Orcs, Hobgoblins and Aarakocra.
Government
This city-state is run by a council elected by the mercantile class. This group is re-elected every two years, and one must be a member of a merchant guild and have at least 50 000 gp in their accounts.
Defences
The city is surrounded by several clay-brick walls, all of which are manned by the city's professional army which the city hired to act as its sheriffs and soldiers. There are also a series of lone tower keeps in the surrounding territory.
Industry & Trade
The cities primary exports are platinum and adamantium. It also exports rifles of exceptional quality.
Infrastructure
There are many large mining operations in the surrounding hills.
Assets
Just before one passes through the eastern gate of the city, they must pass by the Gushtared Livery. It is a well kept and remarkably clean livery. It is most notable for the Axe Beaks it houses. It also offers Camels for use. It is owned by Runjo Gushtared, a prim and orderly Human man. He is obsessive about cleanliness.
The city of Charo-ruda is famous for several reasons, primarily its metal exports, but also for its firearms. Teodora’s Smithy is one of the best places to have a gun smithed. The forge is often very busy, as the city has issued a Delegation Order, decreeing that all gunsmiths in the city are to aid the state suppliers in fulfilling large orders.
If one needs wares of a magical nature, then Mihajlo’s Magical Wares is the place to go. The owner is always willing to acquire strange objects and ancient artifacts.
All mages who aspire to excel in the school of abjuration know of Abjuracia College. It is the premiere college for such magics, and is renowned across the world of Shyrin for the skill, both in the arcane and in tutelage, of its professors.
One of the quieter taverns and inns in Charo-ruda is the Nomad’s Nest. It is a large, three story construction that has a number of rooms on the second and third floors. The first floor is primarily storage, and a quaint tavern. The rooms are well furnished and have many creature comforts, while the tavern has the scent of vanilla in the air.

Tourism
South-east of the city stands the Gateway to The Scorching Wastes and Invisible Sea. It is an ornate arch, which stands alone in the endless dry brush land. By travelling straight through it and remaining straight along that course, one can navigate the Scorching Wastes and pass by the Invisible Sea by staying inline with a series of deep wells along the route.
Architecture
All structures have an air of prestige, and nothing is left "unpolished". They are made primarily of lime-mortar and clay from the local turf. It is inline with Khorasani style of Persian architecture.
Geography
Located on the ocean, the port city rests on low hills, that are surrounded by several farming villages and expansive dry shrub land. This shrub land develops into the Scorching Wastes.
Natural Resources
There are several large veins of adamantium and platinum beneath the hills surrounding city.
