The Khimona Tree
The Khimona Tree is actually a city, formed under a massive tree. This tree is a beacon in the distance from the northern cities of Midala, as it sheds a golden light over the city and provides sailors coming into port a way to see at night. Khimona is also one of the few cities that has a skyport on Euclidia.
Khimona
The origin of the name Khimona, or as some citizens call it, The Khitree comes from the combination of the God of Gold and the Goddess of Light. The God of Gold being Khidala, and the God of Light being Mona. Both of these gods are worshipped greatly, and there is a shrine dedicated to both of them built into the base of the tree. The tree itself has a trunk about 100 feet in diameter, making it the largest known tree in Euclidia. It is said that these two gods, being hand in hand, planted this tree at the beginning of their journey together. Now they watch over the city and protect its citizens.
Connections
Khimona is a city that has a large connection to the eastern coast of Safaaris, making it a big trade city for Midala and the rest of Euclidia, as it has a skyport. Khimona transports much of its birch wood from the forest that surrounds it, as well as other sea plants and creatures. Having Port Pitugla and Port Jafar as access to trading, goods and materials are very easily transferred between continents, and is one of the fastest trade routes on Euclidia.
Another way Khimona is connected is through politics. Khimona works in tandem with the Azazaran Monarchy, often trading technology and information together. In this sense, the leader of Khimona maintains a high stature on the world of Euclidia. Her name is LADY DORIMA. Lady Dorima has had connections to Azazara as well as Himigomini since the founding of the two cities. She maintains this connection as leader and makes sure to keep the other two cities in check, as they are often arguing about the ways they run their city. Lady Dorima had a spouse at one point, but he had died during an assassination attempt on the couple during the CIVIL WAR OF DINUBIS. She has not thought about wedding since.
