- Ability Score Increase: Dexterity +2, Wisdom +1
- Age: Tau'niki have equivalent lifespans to humans.
- Size: Medium
- Speed: 30 ft.
- Tau'niki Flight: You have a flying speed of 50 ft. You cannot utilize your flying speed while wearing medium or heavy armor or utilizing a two-handed weapon. You may use one-handed weapons while in the air, however, your flying speed becomes a gliding speed while you are wielding a weapon. When gliding, you descend 5 ft. for every 10 ft. flown horizontally.
- Passive Echolocation: You have a blindsight sense of 30 ft and an advantage on Perception checks related to hearing. (only applicable in environments with ambient environmental noise, if you’re in a place without ambient noise, active echolocation has to be used to maintain their increased perception, otherwise they’re just blind)
- Active Echolocation: Once per short rest, as an action, you can enter a state of enhanced hearing and perception. Your blindsight sense doubles in distance and you can no longer roll lower than a 10 on a Perception check. In addition, you add a 1d6 to any Perception check you make. This ability is a pseudo-concentration, in the sense it functions as a concentration and can be lost when you get disrupted, but you can still concentrate on spells normally. This lasts for 1 minute.
- Languages: You can speak Common and Tau'niki. The Tau'niki language is an ancient language that is exclusive to the Tau'niki race only.
