Nexus
A multidimensional cornerstone of reality's weave, and a cross-dimensional intersection of cosmic energy. This particular Nexus sits on Yalasra, housed within the Horseshoe Range. Four peaks surround the nexus' boundaries, and within the radius reality is more fluid, and travel between dimensions and their many types is drastically easier. The air is drastically more charged, not quite electric, but one recognizable to the experienced as distinctly alkosir.
The mage war of (thirteen thousand years ago) interfered with the nexus' weave, so that the channels that for eons were stable were altered. Strings that were thick became thin, others twisted or warped, some knotted, but in essence, the nexus suffered bottlenecking. These far-reaching effects eventually resulted in the lengthy events leading up to the Spellflow War.
As a cornerstone, if this nexus was ever destroyed, the ripples of its destruction would create an unstoppable mounting wave throughout all of reality, wreaking untold chaos. Any plane or planet connected, even those temporarily linked by portal, would be more strongly affected, if not destroyed outright.
Localized Phenomena
There are multiple indicators of the nexus' presence, such as the constantly shifting landscape as reality is infinitely altering itself on a local scale. Hints of other dimensions and worlds come and go, the ground itself acts as a non-Newtonian fluid, and the constant motion stirs up so much wind that the air is roaringly loud, save for a few peaceful pockets.
Unlike the effects of pseudonaturals, the chaos of the nexus is structured and not mind-breakingly unfathomable.
Fauna & Flora
Within the boundaries of the nexus, there is no persistent lifeform, not plant nor animal, due to the exceedingly high charged energies.
History
The nexus has been in its current location since the dawn of time, and Yalasra formed around it. It does shift somewhat, more or less orbiting Pelinor in sync with Yalasra's orbit.
Tourism
While not tourism, numerous high-circle- and archmages make pilgrimages to the nexus. It is a place where they can more easily research and comprehend the weave of reality. Often used as a place of meditation, or even communion with reality itself.
Some of the high-tier mages regard this area like some might a holy site.
Rèvdaziñó sometimes visit during their migratory flight paths. Some terrors of dragons do the same.
