Though a vampire, Astora is far from hostile or evil. Calm, very quiet, and so still that he is easily mistaken for a statue, Astora does not like being alone, and can be quite helpful and even kind. He is quite peaceful despite his predatory nature, and usually feeds from animals rather than anyone sapient, unless he has ready access to voluntary 'donors.'
He is unfazed by most things, aside from loneliness, and has no outward reaction to pretty much everything, at most giving a faint smile or inclination of the head when talking with those he trusts and cares about.
His aura usually freely reflects his mood, as will his tone, however, so he's not completely impossible to read.

Astora, when not asked to engage in battle, only needs about a pint of blood every four days to survive, and generally restricts himself for this - he can go for up to two months without anything if he has to, but this weakens him and makes the thirst harder to control. His will is truly exceptional, as he remains in control even when completely empty of blood, but he prefers to not let it get so bad before he feeds - Astora doesn't like taking chances with it.
Attuned to the natural world despite his undeath, Astora's vampiric curse lies upon his soul, and has warped his physical body to match. He has taken so well to it that it remains with him through reincarnation. Astora is not capable of eating normal food, as it risks clogging his blood vessels and thus is usually thrown back up, though he can drink liquids to a limited degree without harm. He just has to be careful not to drink enough that it displaces the blood within him.
Astora uses blood as a power source rather than digesting it in the true sense, and so his blood consumption relies entirely on how active he is. Also, he lacks most of the internal organs of a living being, instead having his stomach empty into large blood vessels, the stomach itself essentially serving only a filtration purpose to prevent non-liquids from clogging up his system and making it easier to eject them.
