Etherian Calendar
During the early days of interdimensional contact, the four realms needed a way to schedule trade and aid in communication. The Council of Etherion decided to develop a calendar based on the Overworld's daylight cycle. Each cycle is made up of 8 periods, all named after various deities among the realms.
The Periods of the Cycle
Thumanad
Thumanad is the first period of the cycle, and is the period where everyone is free to go outside and enjoy the warmth; it signifies the beginning of Vår. It is named after Thuelli, the Goddess of Freedom, and it lasts for 42 lights.
Zimanad
Zimanad is the second period of the cycle, and is the period that is most well known for how well crops grow during this period. It is named after Zidite, the God of Legitimacy, and lasts for 48 lights.
Evimanad
Evimanad is the third period of the cycle and is known for being the hottest period of the cycle; it signifies the beginning of Sommar. It is named after Evidansa, the Goddess of Life, and it lasts 54 lights.
Xilomanad
Xilomanad is the fourth period of the cycle and is known for being the brightest period. It is also the longest period. It is named after Xillios, the God of Light, and it lasts for 60 lights.
Remanad
Remanad is the fifth period of the cycle and is known for bountiful harvest; it signifies the beginning of Höst. It is named after Revdum, the God of Virtue, and it lasts for 52 lights.
Komanad
Komanad is the sixth period of the cycle and is known for the death of trees and the changing of colors. It is named after Koara, the Goddess of Sin, and it lasts for 46 lights.
Sjalamanad
Sjalamanad is the seventh period of the cycle and is known for being the coldest period; it signifies the beginning of Vinter. It is named after Sjalsvard, the God of Death, and lasts for 40 lights.
Danumanad
Danumanad is the eigth and final period of the cycle and known for being the darkest and shortest period. It is named after Danufram, the God of Time, and lasts for 36 lights.
