Herbal Hut

Herbal huts can be found in almost every smaller village and tribe. It is the place where the local herbalist lives and works, providing medical diagnosis and treatment. In many regions, a visit to the herbalist is the only way to get treatment for an occurred condition without traveling a larger distance to the medic or hospital in the next bigger city.

Design

The number of rooms and their size vary depending on the preferences of the herbalist. The walls and ceiling are usually made from wooden planks. It has wood or stone floors, sometimes covered in dried plants like moss.

What people will see

If one enters the hut, the first thing that they will notice is the walls that are primarily covered in shelves filled with books, vases, and jars, as well as whiteish cloth pieces. Paper pieces with notes and sketches lie all over the floor's outer perimeter. A nightshade lantern providing a dimmed golden light and several herb bundles hanging upside down from the ceiling to dry. In the back left corner is a sturdy minimalistic bed and in the back right corner is a table with a bench. Beside the door is a basket seemingly used to gather and harvest herbs.

What people will smell

The room is filled with the smell of dried herbs lying on the table and shelves or hanging from the ceiling.

Architecture

It is usually a tiny one-floor wooden building with a maximum of three rooms and a herb garden on the side or back. In many cases, it is crookedly built and located on the edge of a cluster of houses or deep in the woods, giving it a witch hut look.
