Personal history
Born to the Noble House Ainsworth of Everdale, in the Kingdom of Throndheim, Eadgard is the first and only child of the house. He doesn't remember much about his time with his blood family, for he was ripped from them at a young age. At 6 years old, his parents were murdered by Loyalists that had heard a rumour that they were partisans of the Revolutionaries. Eadgard only survived by the skin of his teeth.
Under the manor was a secret room that was crafted to hide a Soul Fragment, conceal it from the eyes of the Church of the Deep. He still doesn't know why his parents wanted to hide a fragment like so, and will probably never will. It is of no import anyway, for the fragment is not hidden there anymore. As a child, upon hearing the sounds of his parents and family being murdered beyond the secret room, he knew it wouldn't be long until his time came as well. The fragment sung to him, spoke in his mind and promised the boy to protect him if he simply injected the Elixir of Might into his bloodstream. Not knowing how to operate a syringe and needle, Eadgard simply proceeded to drink the Elixir instead.
He was lucky to survive from the ordeal, for few are those that are able to Devour a Soul and tell the tale. This allowed him to escape from the manor by killing the few Loyalists that had come to him. For days, he stumbled in the woods surrounding Everdale. Feverish, his own body was trying to reject the Soul Fragment he had forced it to try and digest. In the end, he was found by a Nightsister of the Coven of the Fair Blood who nursed him back to health. He was in chance to meet up with the witches, for they were of the few that would consume Soul Fragments in order to gain power. A practice considered blasphemous and simply too dangerous both in the Church of Light and the Church of the Deep.
Nightsister Loretta took care of him as if he was her own son for the next few years. Upon reaching his 17th birthday, Eadgard left the Coven and the Woods of the Spirit Wolf in order to join the army. Yet another war was raging with the Ifvanore Empire and threatened the peaceful ways of his newfound family. He joined the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of Juniper State, in Everdale. Eventually he became Captain of his own company and led many men into battle and victory.
When the turmoil between the Loyalists and Revolutionaries reached its peak, the army of the North split from the Royal Army in order to serve the newly appointed President of Throndheim against the forces of the King. The Civil War begun when he was 23 and he kept his position as Captain in the 2nd Juniper Cavalry Regiment at that time. It didn't take long for his military prowess to be noticed by the higher ups, and he eventually became the Colonel of the 2nd Juniper Cavalry Regiment at 27.
Towards the end of the Civil War, at 29 years old, he became Major General and Commander of the 1st Cavalry Division. When the war ended, he simply left the army in order to go back to his home in Wildwater. He was then recruited by the Church of the Deep, since he had all the skills needed to become a Hunter and gather Soul Fragments for them. He needed money and didn't really care about the invitations from the Ifvanore Empire to travel south in order to train their troops, so he joined the ranks of the Church Hunters.
For the last 4 years he has been working for the Church of the Deep and travelled about everywhere in the Kingdom of Throndheim and the North of the Free Lands. During that time, he met with Solveg Thornstein and they started travelling together. In time, he hired the Frost Giant, Brokmir, and added the Rogue child, Kloelah, to their band of misfits.
