Tribe Tedal Ris

Tedal Ris, more often known by the Kahlukkian moniker of Kiikibo, are a tribe of nocturnal Naa'gaea native only to Kahlukkenjar. With a resemblance to Xenodermid snakes and the snake genus Xenopeltis, their scales are often as black as midnight, giving them advantage in the dark. What gives them their name, Tedal Ris, is the fact that when their scales are exposed to light, they radiate with an iridescent hue. Shed Tedal Ris scales are highly favored for ornamental purposes, often making beautiful jewelry and also granting protection to their wearer. Some would even say that if one forces a Tedal Ris to give them its scales, they will respond by cursing the assailant. Scales that are given freely are said to bring good luck.

Tedal Ris form an important backbone of Kahlukkian society, especially in the Lands of Manoko, where their nocturnal habits allow them to keep shops open well after the sun goes down. In the Isles of Zuroar, they are considered a bane, due to the fact they see tadpoles as a delicacy.

Iridescent Hue

While in light, your scales give off an iridescent hue. However, this also applies to spells. Whenever a target attempts to target you with a spell that gives off light (equivalent of at least 5 ft worth) and it is dark or dim, it reflects off of your scales. All targets within the range of the spell's light must make a Reflex saving throw (DC = 8 + your Fortitude modifier) or be blinded for 1 minute. A target can expend its reaction to give itself advantage on the save by blocking it with its arms or equivalent.

Sunlight Sensitivity

Due to your nocturnal nature, you have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Awareness checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.

Radiant Resistance

You have major resistance to radiant damage.

Draconic Visage

Due to your overall appearance, you give off an air that feels similar to some dragons. Whenever a creature enters your range and doesn't know what you are, you can use your reaction to deceive it, using your semi-draconic appearance to frighten it. The target must make a Willpower saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute.
