Tribe 'Cheslo'sada Puris

Despite being one of the smaller tribes, the 'Cheslo'sada Puris are one the most common tribe of Naa'gaea to spot across Eveynjar, especially since they resemble the Natricinae family, which include Garter Snakes, Water Snakes, and Keelback. Every 'Cheslo'sada Puris possess these keel-like scales, which give them very rough skin. Like Garter Snakes or theĀ Thamnophis Genus, they often live in communities which shelter in a massive swarm during colder months.

Also, the 'Cheslo'sada Puris have their fangs permanently fixed towards the back of their mouth, making them rear-fanged. With this in mind, they must partially swallow a target to fully inject them with venom, which is often paralytic. What is further interesting about this feature is that the 'Cheslo'sada Puris are able to store the poison or venom of others in their blood and apply it to their salivary glands when they make a bite attack.

This tribe can be found distributed mostly in Northern Eveynjar, but can also be found in Urrudea, Hallojar, and Yandaijar, with a small population in Fahliilenjar.

Smaller Stature

You are smaller than your brethren, only reaching heights of 4-5 ft and a total length of 8 ft. Your are considered medium sized.

Keel Scaled

You scales make you incredibly hard to keep restrained or grappled. While you are impaled, grappled, or restrained physically by a target, that target must make a Fortitude saving throw or take 1d4 slashing damage and immediately drop you. This begins happening after its turn, and must make the save at the end of the round and the beginning of its turn.

Swallowing Bite

When you do a bite attack, you can take a bonus action to move your mouth deep enough onto the target to release your venom, dealing an extra 1d4 poison damage and causing the paralyzed condition on a failed Fortitude save.

Sequestered Poison

Once per long rest, when you are targeted by an attack that deals poison damage or would apply the poisoned condition onto you, you can attempt to absorb the poison into being. Make a Fortitude Saving Throw (equals target's DC if applicable, otherwise DM will figure it out). On a success, you absorb the poison. The next time you make a bite attack or a target attempts to bite you or wound you with an unarmed attack, the target must make a Fortitude saving throw (DC = 8 + your Fortitude modifier). On a fail the target takes the damage and are given the affects of the ingested poison.

At 10th level, this can be done a number of times equal to your Alchemy proficiency bonus.
