Blood-steel / Druimaeic Steel

Blood-steel is a form of Dragonsteel developed by the Druimae or Life Dragons. Able to absorb the life of enemies, this material is a boon to any who find it. In fact it can regenerate durability and/or magical uses by bathing it in blood.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Bloodsteel appears as a leaf-green metal with blood red accents. It often is formed into raindrop damascus, so the lines in the pattern appear red. Interesting enough, it is able to restore its durability by bathing the material in blood. If formed into a weapon, it has the potential of healing its wielder, while armor has the option of giving its wearer temporary hit points.

Compounds

50% Dragonsteel, 25% Elementium (Life Affinity), 12.5% Steel Leaf, 12.5% Malachite

History & Usage

History

Originally made by the Druimae, this metal was a way for these nature-loving dragons to make a metal that was able to be used by Druids. The exact way this material was made is lost to the ages, as it not only required to be forged, but some other arcane attunement to properly combine the ingredients. Today, it can be found among the ruins of old Druimaean settlements, sometimes even being found incorporated into Dragons of Druimaean and Metallurgistian descent, often called Blood-steel Dragons.

Discovery

The original discoverer has been lost to time.

Cultural Significance and Usage

This material was a way for the Druimae to honor their dead.
