Sovereign
The largest and often oldest Myconids of a Colony will become a Sovereign, the highest position of power and respect in any Colony. Often preferring to lead from the back, only joining into combat if there is a genuine risk to their servants and kin, they are nevertheless objective in all decision making and careful with their expectations.
Myconid Sovereigns carry the weight of many responsibilities, and to take the position is to be in the most dreadful of roles within a Colony, to which many others percieve to be a punishment rather than a privilege. Because Sovereigns must be so objective to the circles within their Colony, administering correct duties and overseeing conflicts, he can never again be part of a Circle, could never again Meld with those of his tribe. An isolation to which Myconids is abhorent and painful.
Normal Myconids are often buried in the gardens of their Colonies, but Sovereigns are laid to rest beneath large mounds of mossy rock to commemorate their lives and duties fulfilled.
Duties
The duties of the Sovereign include the creation of spore servants, coordination of work schedules, vigilance against protential threats, and the production of fungal brews. Most attempt to remain in frequent communication with other tribes and hold occasional meetings to discuss mutual problems, with every Sovereign being familiar with the spores of most others throughout the lands.
