Shevar'gast Vo'Khalaer
Matron Mother, Matron (a.k.a. The Web's Spindle)
The current Matron Mother of House Vo'Khalaer, a renown figure around Sharra'Morgul. She holds much of the power and authority within the city and sits as the head of the Council of Many Eyes.
Having been in power for well over 500 years, she is quite possibly one of the most successful Matrons in the city's history, having evaded all assassinations and attempts to unseat her from her position.
She has 5 children, two of which are deceased by the natural traditions of the city - sacrifices of third born daughters and second born sons. Her daughters were triplets, born in order of Zyraleth; Lethica and Maralyth. Her sons were born in order of Zydan and Theodus.

Body Features
Standing ataround 5"7 in height and weighing around 130lbs, Shevar'gast has a lithe and slender frame but is mature and older in her age, supporting a slight hunch to her upper spine and a severe case of scoliosis.
She has worn and wrinkled lilac-grey skin, marked by freckles and a few moles. Aged and stretched tattoos of spider webs and spiders trail down her back. She has traditional Drow white hair, curly and long. Her deep red eyes are often bloodshot from age.
Shevar'gast is often seen in fine silk robes of dark purple and silver.

Personal history
Now wised and aged, approaching the end of her long life, in her youth Shevar'gast was not only a beacon of good luck but also the pinnacle of what a good female Drow should be.
Her good luck comes from her having been a third born daughter, destined to be sacrificed. But it is widely considered that the Spider Queen saw something great in this third daughter, as soon after her birth her older sisters fell fatally sick - with their deaths it was decided she would be permitted to live in their stead, as it was clearly a sign that Lolth favoured her to have removed her opposition.
As she grew and matured, she did so in the knowledge she would need to prove Lolth's intervention to have been for the betterment of the city, taking responsibility upon her shoulders to show herself as a Drow of great excellence. She partook in extra ciricular activities to venture out into the Underdark with the Handmaidens of Lolth; studied under their esteemed leader Rhyl'Izz Malagnal; hunted escaped slaves; under went training in political and economic skills and devoted herself fully to the Lolthite clergy.
It was at a young age that her mother was killed in a coup performed by disgruntled merchants, who were swiftly arrested and executed, but their deeds solidified Shevar'gast's position as the new Matron Mother of the Vo'Khalaer family. She has run the House for over 500 years since that time, surviving assassination attempts; coups; betrayals and illness, remaining the most successful Matron Sharra'Morgul has ever seen.
Bearing a total of 5 children in her time, she has shown irefutable favourtism towards her eldest daughter, Zyraleth, despite the girl's betrayal and flight from the Underdark.
