Murgenstein's Lair

Formerly the militarian city of the Rune Keepers where all the guards would be trained before being distributed to the wider area, now it is the home to Murgenstein the Brute after the Allied Forces were unable to displace or kill him during the war with the Kasarian Conclave.   It is believed that any of the original inhabitants of the city who survived must only do so by having conformed to his regime, else they have likely been made examples of.

Government

Murgenstein the Brute likely rules with an iron fist, with Archon as his second in command the militarian setting of the city likely hasn't changed much and if anything has probably become ever more severe.   Though Murgenstein was originally under the command of Kasaria the Winged Blight, it is unknown what his ultimate goals are now that she is dead and he has been left to his own devices.

Defences

Murgenstein, Archon and almost all of the original threats during the War still remain strong at the city, it is impenetrable and attempts will result in certain death.

Districts

Early reports from tenuous scouts suggest that the majority of the city has been converted into an enourmous fighting pit for the entertainment of Murgenstein and Archon. It is unknown if there is purpose beyond their sick pleasure for these fighting pits, whether they are training fresh warriors for their needs or merely putting to death those they find weak.   The only additional area scouted was the Dragon's Hoard near the centre of the city. Murgenstein has taken to roosting in the site of the old Temple District, now flattened of temples and turned into an enourmous bayou with a cave at the centre which can only be suspected to burrow underground to Murgenstein's place of rest.

Architecture

Much of the city's former structure has been destroyed, resulting in ruinous terrain and an almost barren wasteland of barely there shelters and encampments. It is unknown how those residing within the city are faring or living with these conditions.

Climate

A thick plume of poisonous smog now resides over the centre of the city, likely due to Murgenstein's extended presence in the region, it can only be assumed that this cloud if toxic to those who inhale it.
