Arborus Rot

This Myconid, born from a ritual beneath the city once known as Arborea during the seige of the Kasarian Conclave, was once an Elven man named Arborus Halathyr. Renowned and remembered for being one of the five founders of Arborea, when he eventually died he was buried with honours beneath the city he helped build. When he was raised from death as a Myconid, his dedication to the city persisted, lingering dregs of memory and ideaology pushed him to claim Arborea once the threat of Al'Artaris was concluded, and in a peaceful transition of power his Myconid Colony moved to populate the fungal scarred land. Arborus is peaceful and dedication to the preservation of his people, he desires the protection and continuation of nature, but in equal measure will voice his understanding and belief that industrialisation and expansion are also part of the natural balance of the world, as things have to change in order for life to endure. He has maintained much of his Elven wisdom and enjoys Melding with non-Fungal-Folk to better grow relations with differing races, to show that though alien in appearance the Myconids are just as much a part of the world as Orcs, Dwarves, Dragonborn and the other races.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Sovereign is a vastly sized Myconid who stands above the others in the Colony in height and size. His plant texture body is shaded in rich tones of earthen green and brown with swirling energy peaking between the vines and roots of his muscles in shades of green and orange.   His large and wide brim fungus cap is decorated with swirls of colour in an almost hypnotic pattern with large tendrils of fungal flesh dangling from the frilled skirts beneath the cap.

Personal history

Part of the Landing, as an Elven man, Arborus aided in the founding of one of the Rune Keepers key cities, aiming to bring balance and stability to his people after the confusing emergance in Eternium. Druid in nature, his exact Circle has been lost to history, but it is believed he had an affinity for fungus. It is recorded that Arborus Halathyr had a wife and four children, all of whom went on to live long and happy lives even after his passing; in fact some of his descendants still roam the Rune Keepers to this day, working among the Clergy and Mages, carrying his name beyond his end. The cause of his death is widely rumoured to have been sabotage by a political enemy, with stories depicting a purposeful infection of Cold Lung, ending ultimately in his untimely death. Other stories depict him dying of old age with his family gathered around him in his final moments. The truth of the matter, may never be known. Now risen as a Myconid Sovereign after Al'Artaris' ritual was interupted by members of the Guild, he has taken a protective stance over the city he once helped build and has resolved himself to rebuild it a second time, this time in the image of the Myconid Colony to which he is dedicated.

Religious Views

As a former Elven inhabitant of the Rune Keepers, the Soveriegn likely has some ties to the Selderine whom he previously would have worshiped in his humanoid life, however as a Myconid he also feels the draw of the Patron of all Myconids - Psilofyr, the Carrion King.
