The Djen & The Djanni

"Where the hearty Djen rest, the very metals move to meet them. But where the beautiful Djanni tread, the earth blossoms beneath her feet." - A common greeting used at the Melting Pot tradition, linked with their marriage traditions.

The Djen and the Djanni are such a dimorphic race, they were long thought to be two entirely distinct species. 3rd party scholars infact recorded the Djen as a symbiotic parasite required for the Djanni's race to continue to propogate. This has quite recently been proven entirely false, instead the latest understanding is that the two seen no inherent hierarchal difference or class between them.
This striking distinction between them leads to invasive quests regarding their ability to reproduce, but it was realized that as diverse as they seems, they are not at all different species. They merely represent the most extreme ends of the scale of their species. Earth and stone are both hard and beautiful, shapeable and yet unmovable. The Djen and the Djanni hold this duality as a core to their entire culture and heritage, beliving in the need for both, or risk the destruction of all.
