In the vast city of Atheris, how does one get from their home, to the market, drop their books off at the corrrect libraries, out to the Arts District, and still be home before the Collawoggle screams at the sunset? With Spiritooms of course!

The spiritoom was a revolutionary design, allowing the Väel'Nyir to zip around from destination to home and back again. Nearly every private home and office has a small pod, which is directly linked to the owner's Spirit Link, and then teleports to an empty waiting zone in the destination location. After the owner has departed, it then returns to its home docking site until it is summoned from yet another platform. This can be done at both public and private Docking Stations, the latter providing you have Aural permission from the owner.
These minimalistic sleek pods make travel safe and swift, allowing everyone to continue with their days without the misery of traffic. It caught on quite quickly within the first few months of being released, and now it is a home staple. There are very few, rather elderly, scholars who still prefer to hike it to their next destination.
Spiritooms themselves run on the Spirit Link magic avaible from its user. It's barely a draw on anyone who has Spirit affinity, but impossible to use for those who have none.
