Mushrooms of the Church of GoM

The mushrooms that grow around the Falstarr's Advent, like everything else that originates in this area, glow. The mushrooms glow in multiple different colours; blue, green, and purple. They only grow around the lake. Any attempts to transplant them elsewhere have been unsuccessful. The farther away from the lake they are the less they will grow. In the forest by the lake mushrooms will grow in the same shape but won't glow nor will they have the same effect when consumed. When planted anywhere else they will simply refuse to grow.
They can only be safely consumed as part of a ritual, typically to communicate with the God of Magic. Though the visions are almost always vague and unclear. Each colour has a different effect; the blue mushrooms will allow communication with beings beyond the mortal realm of understanding, the green ones provide visions of the past and future though it is never clear precisely what these visions wish for the consumer to see, and the purple ones can increase one's affinity for magic and can even go so far as to allow someone with no affinity for the craft some minor level of control. Though this effect is almost always temporary and rarely lasts beyond a single day.
The water that collects in the bell of the mushroom, when mixed with the correct ingredients has been known to heal minor injuries.
The mushrooms must be picked carefully, and never come in contact with Human skin of they will become useless. Once picked they need to be stored in a dark, cool, dry place and must never be stored with a mushroom of a different colour.
Harvesting of these mushrooms has been outlawed in the past ten years and attempts have been made to raze the plants out of existence, but they always reappear within a number of weeks.
