Vihárí

A place of light and knowledge, Vihárí is spoken of in many ancient legends. An ancient library behind the veil of reality where scribes scry and document, copy and record everything they can. The wealth of knowledge, stored in a single, impenetrable place.

The oldest texts are incomplete, but describe Vihárí as a place. They describe a heavenly library, full of the worlds knowledge recorded on scrolls that fill endless rows of shelves. Upon rare occasions individuals would find themselves walking the halls in dreams, or finding a scroll stamped with an unknown seal containing unimaginable knowledge.

One story in particular that comes from several different sources describe beings known as the Neph, trading scrolls of Vihárí with peoples in return for refuge.

In later ages, Vihárí became known as a god in the Elven pantheon. Prayed to for knowledge and understanding, and one who was believed to be the bringer of light and illumination to the darkness. Parallels also exist in several other pantheons.

In more modern times since the opening of portals to other worlds, some have theorized that Vihárí is a place located on another plane, however if there was ever a way to get there it has been long since lost to time.
