King Thibault of Traros (Ti-balt)

King Thibault "Golden Paw" Maxxyel

Thibault Maxxyel of Tysus is the Tabaxi Ruler of the Protectorate of Traros. The title of King in Traros has been often for the citizens and many disunited clans and cults a ceremonial role, but Thibault has been the first to try and turn the name from practise into theory, extending his powers massively and his influence too. He dresses in the cloak taken from Ly'xxzeen of Clan Trerror, the Lizardfolk he slew in single-combat to earn the title of King. The rest of his armour is forged in the fires of Sidegian Forges and is near impenetrable. His agility and strength mean many consider him to be one of the greatest fighters in the world, comparable only with Lord Elas of Eorsta.
Growing up as a young boy in Anros under his father, the Lord Cally of Anrosia, Thibault showed that whilst he was not the most charismatic, he held the charms and looks needed to court some of the finest ladies not only in Traros but outside of it. He eventually married a noblewoman from Bry'at, an Elven woman named Razye, who was part of a noble house of some decent influence. Bry'at would eventually assist in his claim to the throne by granting him his blade, forged of Bry'atian Steel, and is known to be one of the few Champion Blades.
Thibault does not love his wife as it was a marriage of circumstance, but the two enjoy eachother's company. They are unable to reproduce due to the difference in their races, and therefore Thibault has multiple concubines, and so does Razye. So far, they have birthed 4 children, 3 of which are Tabaxi. Due to Tabaxi mating rituals, he is allowed to love his wife and his concubines equally, but love no concubine more than his wife. This is no issue, as all agree that him and Razye love eachother more than all else.
Thibault is known for his sense of humor and his massive feasts. Under him, Tysus has grown to nearly 3 times the size it was when he inherited it and has grown in wealth. He does not seek to cut down the Jungle for growth, and so has instead began to build upwards, leading to Tysus' famous multi-level design. He is a petitioner of the arts and has turned his home into a Private Museum filled with collections and has built multiple theatres.
Thibault seeks to turn Traros into a true Kingdom and a true Monarchy, removing the Tribalism and Cultism that has held the nation back in previous years. Others say doing so would erase what makes Traros unique, but Thibault seeks "Survival over Preservation."
