Skosdrin

The Skosdrin are the founders of Dwarven culture. They are the mythological beings to which all Dwarves pray to. For the Dwarves they are real beings that walked the lands of Tog Darahl. Some Dwarves claim they are direct descendants to a specific member of the Skosdrin even in contemporary times.

Mythology & Lore

The mountains of Tog Darahl were crafted by Yri's hammer. She forged the land for all beings to live in. Khezotz breathed life into all beings, crafting the souls of every sentient being in the land. As the land grew and the beings in it developed other needs, the couple enlisted the help of other powerful beings, the other Skosdrin, to bring order to their new realm. Skardi organized the dwarven tribes and gave them the guidance they needed to grow from warring tribes to respectful cities. Asleif breathed new life into nature helping each being find its place in the cycle to ensure the realm's survival.   But not all the Skosdrin were happy with how the realm was developing. Some did not agree with Yri and Khezotz rule. Ioketill, who had made a name for himself bringing his fire and anger to the tribes, was busy planning to overthrow the others. He seduced Skardi with lies and got them to go along with his plans against the rest. One of the first cities forged by Dwarves started preparing for war against the Skosdrin, with Skardi's guidance the city levied a massive army who all believed Yri and Khezotz were petty tyrants leading them to ruin.   Ioketill's plan was set to work until Valgerd's intervention. She had made a name for herself with those same tribes, as a protector and a voice of rebellion. When she revealed Ioketill's lies and urged the army to reconsider their anger, they laid their weapons down. Ioketill was then sentenced to life as an outcast and his name became a forbidden word in the Dwarven cities.
