Personal history
Naarzon was an Elven diplomat during his time on the material plane. He was tasked with establishing relationships between the nascent Darahlian Empire and some of the Elven free cities. However, unbeknownst to his employers, Naarzon (then known as Urixidor) used his station to gain favor with the Dragon Queen, Tiamat. He stole public funds and sowed discord to promote the interests of Tiamat in the Material Plane. Eventually, she escalated her petitions to him, and he was found out and executed. His devotion to the Dragon Queen earned him a better place in Hell than most, and thus he found himself as a Black Abishai in the afterlife.
