Tymanther
Tymanther, once the glorious capital of the Dragonborn palatinate, now only a pile of rocks and sand with the odd desert critter crawling through its corpse. The former city is located at the border of Anpitan and Jiud'uun at the shores of the Azure Sea.
Long before the first human tribes arrived in Essairoth, Dragonborns were the dominant race in the south of Essairoth. Building sprawling and beautiful cities unmatched by others.
After an unknown catastrophic event, lost in history, the Dragonborn palatinate declined and their cities rapidly depopulated. Within a couple of generations, large swathes of the Dragonborn area were all but abandoned. Both the capital and their secondary centers were abandoned within a period of 50 to 100 years. Over time the Sandy Sea gradually swallowed the cities, all but Tymanther wich still stands as a reminder of a long gone era.
Folks stay away from the city for the reason that visitor tell of this worriment feeling they got after entering what's left of Tymanther. Wild tales of evil aberrations that roam the empty buildings and streets are told, yet none confirmed.
