Ementa
Ementa is located quite central in Morrton, split by the Lumot River. Due to is location it has roads connecting to all the major cities and towns of Morrton and is used by many travelers either by water or land as a stop to rest and resupply.
Ementa seems to be built on top and around an ancient ruin, wich is easily spotted, by it's perfect circular city walls that are made up of a smooth black stone, that is cold to the touch even on the hottest days. In the middle of the town, on a small island inside the River stands a roughly 400ft square tower, made of the same stone, and through the town you can find parts of old structures that just have been build up onto by the new residents. This stone seems to be indestructible, except that the ruins where people build their houses on top seems to have been melted eons ago. Nobody knows what this stone is or where it came from.
The wall has 4 gates, each one aligned with one of the four cardinal points, with a road that leads straight to the center tower. There are no dwellings outside the city walls and for that reason the houses inside town are build tightly and even are stacked on top of each other. Wich makes the lower levels of the city quite gloomy even during the day.
A couple of years ago, a new tax was introduced for everyone that enters the city. The tax is one random object that is out of metal, the denizen of Ementa got used to it and most carry a necklace with some random metal objects around their necks.
