"[UE 271] The Kherek-Nor archipelago west of Espen's continent has been the rumored homeland of the Kherek-Nor people or as the citizens of Espen know them; Goblinoids. Both hobgoblins and goblins have made the island chain their homes and have kept their existence a relative secret for some time. On the rare encounters with "mainlanders" as the Goblins call them, Goblins had a propensity to attack first and ask questions later, their larger counterparts, hobgoblins, were simply seen as cunning brutes who would just as soon ambush a caravan than look at it.   As a tribal people, the inhabitants of the island chain spent most of their time raiding other villages and settling into tribal chiefdoms. It was not until a charismatic leader, a goblin by the name of Larsone E. Hatchetwink managed to unite the goblin people across the archipelago that their uprising truly began.   L.E. Hatchetwink had seen the downfall of the Genasi people and he knew that without a stronghold for his people, they could never thrive in Espen. Thus began the Goblin migration to the mainland began. L.E. Hatchetwink marched thousands of Goblins from the archipelago to the western coast of Espen. Establishing a town that was fast-growing and innovative. Christening the town in his own name and banner as the Free Goblin Territory of Hatchetwink.   To ensure the full history of Hatchetwink was never lost in the same fashion as that of Beryl and Flux, Larcone commissioned the Old World Archive, a chronicler of Goblin, Hobgoblin, Tabaxi, and Genasi history. Their focus on chronicled history made Hatchetwink the premiere producer of scrolls in Espen."
