Underground Kings Survivor Series

History

Starting originally as a mining competition between the Goblins of Nattan Mal and the Dwarves of Nin the Underground Kings (UGK) Survivor Series is one of the more brutal events in the T.E.C.S. Having spawned from a disagreement between competitors over the winner of the 41st UGK. The goblins who had a 3-meter lead in the competition found their equipment and tools all broken on the final morning of the competition. This did not sit well with the Goblin team, who promptly ambushed the dwarven team stealing their tools.  The Dwarves, not intent on taking this level of behavior lightly responded in kind and before you knew it, the fracas spilled from the caves and into the streets.  By the time the streets were cleared, the competition had been called off.   The following year the dwarves again sent a team to the competition but the bad blood between the two groups turned into another brawl before the competition even began. Soon it became somewhat of a regular tradition for the dwarves to send a team of fighters (as opposed to miners) up to Nattan Mal for the event, leaning into the tradition the Goblins of Nattan Mal adapted by changing the competition all together and making it a new entry into the T.E.C.S. Today the Gold Diggers Mining Co. plays host to the UGK Survivor Series.

Rules of Engagement

Though most of the competitors are mostly Goblins and Dwarves, anyone is welcome to enter.  Keeping with the traditional origins of the competition, competitors are stripped of all weapons and tools entering the bouts, though miners' tools are still scattered throughout the caves and can be found and used at any time.   The competition is the largest of the minor competitions featuring 32 competitors, all of which begin fighting in the caves at the same time, with only 4 competitors being crowned as survivors of the UGK Series.
