Treaties and Annexes

The Major 12 operate as autonomous city-states. Though there are a number of treaties and agreements that bind them.
  • The Rianx-Ril Treaty is a military treaty between the humans and Goblins that utilize goblin gold and human intelligence networks to ensure the safety and security of both cultures
  • The Redbell Treaty brought a cessation of hostilities between the Gnomes and Dwarves and also annex Yeti Pointe as Dwarven territories though they have yet to establish a presence on the islands.
  • the Steamturn Armistice established trade restrictions between the Gnomes and Dwarves, as well as the Tabaxi town known as Clawful Lagoon, which now acts as of of 4 neutral sites for Gnomish and Dwarven governmental traders to barter goods.
  • The Drow-Ash Accords established the Drow as an independent entity from the Elven Union. This is one of the more controversial agreements as while it established the Drow as an independent group, the Elven Union still refuses to recognize the land they hold west of the Panier Mountains as their soverign territory. This has led to occasional skirmishes between the groups and a number of ambushes of Elven Caravans in the area. Today, any individual travelling through the area without "The Queen's Seal" can be considered hostile, leading most to utlize sea trade routes or a more dangerous mountain pass through the Panier Mountains.
  • The Post-Twilight Accords were forced upon the Gnomish people by the Humans, Elves, and Dwarves following the Twilight District Incident. The accord limits the Gnomes to experimenting with Wild Magix only within the bounds of their major cities. Furthermore the Accords ensured that all experiments with wild magix are documented and stored within local archives.
  • The Iron-Sentinel Entente was an agreed-upon pact that ended inter-dwarven aggressions between Nin, Viggrom, and Mithrigal. The Entente was intended to unify the dwarven people and protect against the same brand of infighting that had fractured the Elven Union. The entente established the role of apostle king/queen for each of the three major cities and set forth terms for peaceful negotiations, territorial claims, and tribute towns and villages. The Apostle King (or queen) serves a dual role as head of state and head of the faith.
