Towers of the Ashen Elders

History & Lore

Part mausoleum, part sanctuary, and part residence the Towers of the Ashen Elders were built to honor the first tribunal of Elders that ruled over the Elvish people. Commissioned in UE 751 the Towers were meant to provide the type of centralized guidance that may have very well prevented the schism between Drow Elves and High Elves. The towers were not completed for another 450 years as the first generation of Ashen Elders mandated that the towers serve as not only their homes while in service to the Elvish people but as a monument to their service in death. Since their mandate, each subsequent generation of Elders added to the Towers and the surrounding areas, installing meditation gardens, a fully stocked commissary, and a religious college for those interested in learning about Ashenvale and her followers.
The three towers each host an elder, with the most senior of the three living in the central tower. The central tower also acts as a gathering location for the tribunal in matters that are relevant to the race or as a place of negotiations and treaties. Per tradition, each of the elders hails from one of the three major Elven cities to ensure equal representation of its people. The Ossirion Elder acts as the religious and moral center of the tribunal. The Evolirian Elder acts as the diplomatic and espionage authority on matters of the Elven people. Finally, the Tanalierian Elder acts as the authority on most matters of trade and navigation. In the rare instance that an issue crosses lines and requires multiple elders, the tribunal is convened and the matter settled in deliberation behind closed doors.

Ashen Elders:

Ossirion Elder: Zaleria Aloquin has served as the Ossirion Ashen Elder for the last 442 years and is the 3rd longest serving Ashen Elder in Elvish history. Having spent 175 years studying the history of Ashenvale and the teachings of the original Ashen Elders.
Evolirian Elder: Agair Thesu has served as an Elder Shiek in Evolir for 58 years and then as an elven diplomat for another 33, his time as a diplomat took him into Dwarven and Tabaxi territory in which he established relationships with various Apostle Kings and Tabaxi War Chiefs.
Tanalerian Elder: One of the few elves to study at multiple institutions, Fenita Hew spent time studying at College In The Clouds (Cartography), Scribes School (Creation), and of course the Uriyra Research Observatory (Astrology & Arcana).
